Who we are
Jeito is operated by Jeito House Inc., a Delaware corporation. This policy explains what we collect when you use getjeito.com and the Jeito app, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Waitlist: your email address, and an optional note about why you're learning if you choose to share one.
Account: your name, email address, and password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and we never see them in plain text.
Learning activity: what you listen to and your progress — plays, saves, and position in lessons — so the product can pick up where you left off.
Usage analytics: how the product is used, on this site and in the Jeito iOS app (screens opened, plays, saves, features used, approximate location from your IP), collected through PostHog and stored on servers in the United States. The app uses no advertising identifiers.
Technical basics: IP address and browser information in server logs, used for security and rate limiting.
How we use it
To run the service: accounts, audio playback, progress, and the features you'd expect to work.
To email you: a welcome note when you join the waitlist, and occasional updates about Jeito. We keep marketing email rare, and every message has an unsubscribe link that works.
To improve the product: analytics tell us what's confusing, what's loved, and what's broken.
To keep the service safe: abuse prevention, rate limiting, and debugging.
What we never do
We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't share your information with third parties for their marketing. There are no data brokers in this story.
Who processes data for us
Like most modern software, Jeito runs on a small set of infrastructure providers: Supabase (database, authentication, and audio storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (transactional email), and PostHog (analytics, US-hosted). Each processes data only to provide their service to us.
If we launch paid plans, payments will be handled by Stripe, and we'll update this policy before that happens.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies to understand product usage. We don't use advertising cookies.
Where data lives
Jeito is operated from the United States. Account, content, and analytics data is stored with our infrastructure providers in the US. By using Jeito you understand your data is processed there.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active or while you're on the waitlist. If you delete your account or ask us to remove you, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, correct it, or have it deleted — whichever applies to you under the laws where you live (including GDPR if you're in Europe and CCPA if you're in California). Email us and we'll handle it; no forms, no friction.
Children
Jeito isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
As Jeito grows, this policy will evolve with it. We'll post updates here and change the date above; if a change meaningfully affects your rights, we'll tell you by email.
